A couple with two young children bought an old home in Waverley that hadn’t been lived in for almost twenty years.
They approached a number of builders to quote on renovations. When the figure got to over $200,000 they approached Craftsman Homes to knock the old house down and build them a new one. The final building cost was virtually the same as they would have spent on renovating.
The owners chose Craftsman to build their new home after they had inspected one of Craftsman’s earlier knockdown and rebuild projects at Little Bay. They were very impressed with the quality of the workmanship and the finishes.
Craftsman worked closely with the owners to overcome new council regulations requiring the property to follow the streetscape and insisting that all parking facilities had to be totally integrated within the property.
The home was completed in three months from start to finish.
