“Five acres of prime riverfront with views to die for deserves an exceptional house”. These were the comments from our clients when our design team first met them on site to discuss the design for their new home on the Nepean River at Wallacia, west of Sydney.
The 1960’s ten square red brick house had served its lifespan and simply had to go. The land is now simply too valuable to keep such an old and uninteresting building and in this instance it was not that the family had lived in the area and wanted to upgrade, it was a new purchase of an expensive parcel of land that warranted a home of equal standing to maximize the capitalization on the investment. A magnificent Victorian limestone home became the obvious choice.
This scenario is happening throughout the Sydney Region and Fairlight Developments have built many homes on land having an existing house that was incompatible to the price paid for the property.
